In the role of Estimator/Bid Engineer, you will have the strategic responsibility for creating the financial foundation for all ByggOm's future projects, from inquiry to winning bids. You are the key person who ensures that projects are profitable and can be executed within the intended calculations. At the same time, you act as the important link that supports site managers with follow-up and change order management during production.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

In this central role, you will have overall responsibility for the estimation and bidding process, which includes everything from independently gathering data to quality assuring budgets before handing them over to the site manager or project manager.

• Prepare cost estimates based on drawings, descriptions, and customer requirements.
• Participate in bidding work and ensure that estimates are accurate and competitive.
• Support project managers with cost follow-up during the project.
• Gather and compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure that estimates include environmental requirements and sustainability aspects.
• Evaluate estimation processes and suggest improvements while keeping updated on the industry.
• Support Site Manager and Project Manager with cost follow-up (change orders) and forecasting during the projects.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has good experience in estimation work within the construction industry, in roles such as site manager, supervisor, coordinator, and project manager.
• Has very good knowledge of construction technology, materials, and work processes.
• Has a good ability to read and interpret drawings and technical descriptions.
• Has strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Has good computer skills, especially in estimation software and Excel.
• Has a valid driver's license (B).
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as this is required for internal and external communication.

It is a merit if you have

• Experience with estimation software such as Wikells or similar.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and sustainability principles in construction.
